The Location - Paignton
A harbour town with Victorian architecture, Paignton is a 19th century resort, It fronts directly onto the longest beach on the English Riviera, with soft golden sand sloping gently into child-friendly seas.
A town full of life, there is much to see and do – fishing expeditions, scuba diving, wind-surfing, and snorkelling. Gentler pursuits like walking the coastal footpath, exploring Dartmoor, local parks, visiting famous Paignton Zoo or the new multiplex cinema are just some of the many delights to be enjoyed.
Getting There
Road
Paignton is easily reached from London and the Midlands via the M5 to Exeter, then via the A380. From Cornwall and Devon take the A38 Devon Expressway to join the A385 at Marley Head.
Rail
The railway station at Paignton links to the main Penzance/London Paddington line (connect at Newton Abbot, 7 miles).
Bus
The area is well served by the national bus network which offers direct services to many cities, including London.
